Never mind the miss spelling of my name and the one, or two, faults in the text written by me. You all get what I mean.
What!? Well, I have been asked, and done, a mixtape listing for Warmer Climes. Check it out!

‘The Anger’ on iTunes!
Smelling an orange, eating chocolate.
I’ll take my time as I explain this:
I have big ears. Yes, this story will begin with the statement that I have big ears.
Now, there are (at least) two ways in which ears can be big: internally or externally. With externally I mean the exterior of the ear; the part you actually see; the part sticking out from the head. With internally I mean the inside of the ear; the part you clean with a cotton tip, get water in etc. (Technically this is also an exterior part of the ear but since I’ve made it clear on how I make the internal/external ear distinction I will dwell on it no further!)
To qualify my initial statement, with the distinction above, I have big ears internally. (Just to be clear, it may also be the case that I have big ears externally but that is, for this post, irrelevant.) This had led me to not listening to music, while on the go, and this has, in its turn, led to me having a duller city experience. Or so I learned today.
I have, until today, not been listening much to my iPod (or, to be completely truthful, the iPod functionality in my iPhone). And before the days of the iPod, Mp3-Player’s, Walkman’s or freestyle’s did not get my attention either.
To sum up, I haven’t been listening to music on any form of portable music device (ever really). And this is because of the ear thing… and vanity and laziness.
When I was young(er) my hair had to be just right. All the time. Traditional headphones, hairstyle destroyers as the are, were then out of the question. The in-ears of the time never fitted my ears, they just popped out all the time. Now, the in-ears of now aren’t much better. Not the ones you get when you buy an iPhone. Same pop-out style.
So, a couple of days ago I dragged my lazy ass down to the store and bought some new ones. The fitted kind, with a little soft plastic tip. You know the kind: You press them in to your ear and the stay there, fitted. Man, the town has never looked better!
I walked around town today, I rode a tram today, listening to Grandaddy, Burial and Little Dragon. They, those artists and groups, became the soundtrack to my walking and riding. Oh, what a soundtrack. One would think that the one provided by the city itself would be the most suitable. The people, the traffic, the music, constructions and even the weather sounding: rain, wind and so on. It isn’t. My soundtrack was a whole lot better. At best altering my whole perspective on things, the things I saw.
I’ve many times questioned why so many people walk around, listening to music. I still do. I now, though, know why I will walk around, listening to music.
It’s like smelling an orange and at the same time eating chocolate.
The Street-Robber Paradox.
To be a street-robber you need to be two things:
1. A robber.
2. On a street.
Now, one thing implicit in the first condition, the one about being a robber, is that you can’t be a robber when in jail. So, a robber is someone defined by what he does. (And, in that there must be some temporal variable; you are a robber if you have committed a robbery within X amount of time. There must also be an occupational variable; in that there must be other occupations that can be ascribed to an individual which no longer make them robbers; inmate for example.)
So, if you are to be a robber you, on some arbitrary regular basis rob. (One can think that exceptions can be made here to robbers only committing one offence, and then if this offence is of a large proportion. A lot af arbitrariness here but bear with me.)
To be a street-street robber you have to commit those robberies on one, or more streets.
It is here where the paradox lies.
If you are to be a robber, one of your objectives must be not to get caught.
Not wanting to get caught leads to taking precautions. Such a precaution could be not having a lot of witnesses.
Now, and heres the thing, how do you pick a street?
Do you:
1. Pick a street with a lot of potential victims but in that also a lot of potential witnesses?
2. Pick a secluded street with fewer, if any, potential victims, but also few, if any, witnesses?
No matter which you pick it seems rather clear to me that your average street-robber is not one with a lot of wealth to his name. Since 1, seems to lead to, over time, few robberies and 2, seems to lead to, over time, few robberies, as well!
So the moral of the story will have to be: If your into money, don’t street-rob.
Record, release, football, coffee and tip.
Good morning to you all!
Starting off this Sunday chat with the news that the band and I are finally going to start recording (the second album). We’ve, or more I’ve, been back and forth as to how to record this album but in the end it kind of decided itself by default: There is no possible way to get all the guys together for the amount of time it would take to record the album so we’re going to do it in a classical track-by-track style, starting with drums this friday.
October 1:st passed without much fuzz. October 1:st being the date when my album, ‘The Anger’ was released, digitally, world wide. Now, as I wrote when I first posted that news, the album can be a little slow getting in to your favoutire digital platform store. This because 1. We did not give our licensor six week notice. 2. We are a small label. 3. I am an ‘unknown’ artist. But rest assured, the album will get there. Keep searching for it. For, if you’ll search, you will find!
Today is game day. so, at 1430h cet, I’ll be in red and white cheering my guys on!
I’ll leave you with a picture taken this Friday (and yes, it’s a bit of a re-hash, again, from my Twitter-feed).
This is Friday afternoon coffee at Vegetable Square with Camilla (not in pic) and The Boo (ears in pic), with a nice center shot of the number 2 tram:
[Just a little tip to all you iPhone and iPod Touch users out there. Ping! It's a sms-like messaging system for iPhone OS. It's free, the messages are free and it works great! Sure it has some flaws and bugs but I'm sure they'll be fixed soon enough.]
Weekend, Little Dragon, shoes and philosophy.
So, welcome to the Friday. Last of the weekdays, start of the weekend! When I used to work as a secutiry guard the days of the week did not matter. I worked (mosty) week 1: mon, tue, fri, sat, sun, week 2: wed, thu. All days from 1800h – 0600h. And so it rolled on day after day, week after week, year after year. Not stopping for anything.
It’s been almost two years since I stopped doing that (at least full time) and I am just now getting in to the swing of things as far as this weekend-feeling is concerned. I like it!
In my ears right now are Little Dragon [Spotify link]. Man, I’m glad i decided to listen to this! Really good. Very few albums get the full from start to end treatment from me these days. This one did… or will do, last song now! (Has this one been in some commercial or something?)
Latest shoe brand discovered: Shoe the Bear! Check ‘em out. Nice Cordoroy and Nylons for us veggies! Now, I’ve bought way too many sneakers the past months. Found an all synthetic pair of Adidas ZX500, then Shelta opened their sneaker store Shelta Sneakers here in Göteborg, then SNS had a sale… oh well. Shoes! Can’t live with them, can’t live with them… no seriously; one can’t live with them, they are not alive (I don’t think).
