Happy Walpurgis Eve! [Now with pic!]

The loss from yesterday still stings.
1-0… that’s got to be the worst of the good results you can loose by. No away goal and if the other team scores one over at your place you will have to score two more than them to win it in full time.

Today is Walpurgis Eve here in Sweden. (Read all about what that is by clicking the former link.) Camilla, Bosse and I are going over to my niece, her boyfriend, their kid and their dogs place for some barbecue (vegetarian) and beer (real bear). hope Bosse wont be too tired. He is right now down with Camilla to our veterinarian to get his annual vaccine shot. He’s usually very tire after those.

The nice weather of Gigantic Rock, Walpurgis Eve of 2009!

Partial sadness.

Partial
of or relating to a part rather than the whole, not general or total (a partial solution).
inclined to favor one party more than the other, biased.
markedly fond of someone or something, used with to. (e.g. partial to pizza)

Sadness
Rage, in psychiatry, is a mental state that is one extreme of the intensity spectrum of anger. When a person experiences rage it usually lasts until a threat is removed or the person under rage is incapacitated. The other end of the spectrum is annoyance. Psycho-pathological problems such as depression increase the chances of experiencing feelings of rage.
This in reference to the first, hence partial, of two matches in the UEFA Champions League between Manchester United and Arsenal and the loosing of Arsenal, hence sadness.

World’s slowest, longest concert.

A performance of John Cage’s organ piece As Slow As Possible began in the Burchardikirche in Halberstadt in September 2001; the performance is scheduled to take 639 years. The concert began on 5 September 2001 with a rest lasting 17 months. On the dates of the sound changes the church is usually well visited.

Doing it German style!

Twitter-truth…

Found this on youtube. And it’s all true. It’s a real fun poke at Twitter and Twittering. And, again, true. On the other hand; what’s the big deal. It’s just a step, another step, along the long path called communication evolution. (And don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying Twitter is our next major form of communication but as far as the evolution analogy goes it, Twitter, is one of communicative natures freaks which will flourish for a while, and then perish.) But I guess the first smoke-signaling Indian, Alexander Graham Bell, the first guy on your block with a cell-phone and so on got the same hassle.

On street-art.

I like street-art. I think it lightens up the city. Not all street art is good though.

This one is cute and fun:

This one is thought provoking in so many ways:

But honestly, this one is just dumb, stupid and idiotic. What is the thought behind it?

Spray-painting a tree!? Give me a break!

More good streetart to come, along me finding it!

Mad Lampard.

Even though I’m an Arsenal supporter. Frank Lampard of Chelsea does have a point when he rings up this radio DJ. And it’s not just football, or about footballers; gossip in general, what is it for?
Listen for yourself.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/8017816.stm

Mad as he is though, and perhaps upset, and right,  I have to take a poke at him for referring to himself, or people on the wrong end of gossip, as personal people…

Sorry?

If there is any one that over the past year has tried to contact me with the information found under the contact-page, here above, and I haven’t gotten back to you or perhaps you’ve gotten some delivery failure notice then I’m sorry.

I just now saw that I had recorded the wrong, or a faulty, e-mail adress. The wrong has now been righted.

I know, I’m an ass…

Nice words warm the heart.

As I’ve told you before there are a couple of videos, or whatever, on youtube with mu song ‘Travel as I wait: Here’s one, Here’s the other. Here’s what someone, Winterstellar, wrote as a comment:

He’s a total genius! One of the most beautiful songs I’ve ever heard! : )

Now, I’m guessing that the past statement is really subjective but I do not care, it really warms the heart.

Thanks Winterstellar!

Radio, sneakers, shopping, commercial.

Today has been an all over good day but like any day it had it’s highs and lows.

The day started really nice with a comment on this blog. I’ve all ready reported this but A-list Rotation on Radio Tromsö is, for me, a big deal. (For more info check post below.) Then I bought some new kicks! Since I became a vegetarian my sneaker-shopping has really been at a low. This because I think it would be hypocritical of me not eating meat but consuming leather (or other animal-materials). So I was really happy in finding the shoes I did, a pair of Nike Air Trainer 1 Premium QK. All canvas! Really love Sneakers’n'Stuff.

After that I had to go food shopping. There are few things that are as teadious as food shopping. Then Camilla and I had dinner then a long walk with the Boo in the beautiful weather.

I’ve also noticed that Nelly.com has bought air time on more channels than last time, for the last commercial. This is nice. More exposure for me. If your new to the website: Welcome!

Radio Tromsö A-list rotation? [Updated]

Got this comment on a post today:

“Travel as I wait” was the most requested song in april due to Nellu.com’s massive TV-campaign….and we don’t fucking have it. Nobody does. Can someone pliiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiz send the track to me in the Mp3-format??? A-list rotation guaranteed!

Tom Rune Lian, Radio Tromsø, Tromsø, Norge

Naturally I sent Tom a file immediately. Let’s hope he comes through on his promise. Any other radio stations out there having the same problem? Contact me by clicking here.

Now that Radio Tromsö has the song; keep requesting it: http://www.radiotromso.no

Thanks!

UPDATE:

Here’s what Radio Tromsö says
“…it’s A-listed from monday.”
I guess were talking about Monday the 27:th of April!

Like a bolt of lightning from a clear sky.

Today has been all about getting my fat ass out of the wagon to get some serious studying done. It has not really happened and I almost broke down at one point.
After dinner I crashed down onto the bed in a lighter form of devastation. “Your thesis is not going to write itself from there” Camilla said. “I know…” I replied. How wrong we both were. Five minutes of calm thinking and  a breakthrough emerged. Now I wrap up the bag that is Contemporary Social Contract Theory. Feels nice and I’ll get right on that tomorrow morning.

Now I am going to bed, as I always do around 2230h, Camilla, I and all the elderly… It’s nice being a student.

Higher than 56!

About a month and a half ago I posted this post. In that post I told you that a Spanish blog called A pleasant Dream had put my song ‘Travel as I Wait’ at place 56 on a list containing the top 100 noridic singles of 2008.

Well, yesterday I got a comment on the mentioned post by Sergio, and I guess Sergio is the guy who runs the blog. He told me that the list wasn’t in any particular order so my number 56 was not actually 56 it was just top 100. But, if I read him correctly, and I think I do, my song would, if the list were to be in order, end up higher, or much higher than 56! Which is nice.

I thank Spain. I thank A Pleasant Dream. I thank Sergio!

Strange this Internet-thing really. The song is only released in the Nordic countries and the promo that Rob and I have made are modest, if that. Amazing. Fun.

I see the light… and the new dark behind it.

I am starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel… or, no. Thar is an over-statement. I am starting to see the light at the end of the first tunnel of three. That’s more like it. I am off course talking about my bachelors thesis and my writing it. The thesis is going to be in three major parts and I hope to be done with a advanced draft of the first part tomorrow. Let’s all hope that I am. Why? Well, when I am, I can write much more eventful posts than this one.

Still super-bummed over Arsenals FA-cup exit yesterday. A bit of band-aid on the wound (as the Swedish saying goes) was Evertons win over my third least favourite team in the Premier League.

Picture of the day:
Google picture search for “third least favourite”.

Him/Her and bad football.

Really can’t bring myself to write anything with weight behind it today. As I, apparently, can’t any day (since most of this blog is full of shit). Two things occupy my mind though:
One: Arsenals poor performance against Chelsea in the FA-cup semi-finals.
Two: Gender specific names, why do we have them? (This is a topic I am bound to come back to. I am just now getting the think around it organized in my head.)
