Ship in, ship out.

November 28, 2008

I have talked to Rob. He has the printed review copies. They are in his car. He is going to come down to Göteborg tonight, at around 2030h/2100h and give them to me. Then it’s just work work work to get in all in order an shipped out by tomorrow so they will be delivered on Monday.

Apart from that the weather is crap here in Göteborg and I’ve decided upon a subject on which I am going to write a paper. The subject, as you may recall, has to fit under the Value Theory or Quality of Life umbrella so I’m going to write about death awareness and how it has a positive effect on the individual in life, how the awareness of death actually improves your quality of life, how it gives you a more valuable life. At least that is my hypothesis.

Rain, rain, rain your boat. Gently down the crap!

Review copies from Bäckefors.

November 28, 2008

This is what has happened with the review copies of ‘The Anger’ so far:

  1. The company making them missed our order.
  2. The company making them didn’t make them on time due to illness.
  3. The company making them changed our order from white discs to silver discs.
  4. The company making them changed our order back to white discs from silver discs.
  5. The delivery firm couldn’t make the delivery the first day; no one was home they said; tried to call three times they said. Correct that no one was home no incoming calls were however registered. If they had called Rob would have answered and said to leave the package on the front porch, at a neighbours or something like that. The delivery firm drove the package back to there central.
  6. Rob called the central telling them to keep the package there so that I could go and collect it today.
  7. Rob called the central to make sure that they had done that… They hadn’t. The package was now once again on it’s way to Robs house where luckily someone was home.
  8. The driver couldn’t find Robs house! Nor did he call when he couldn’t. Now here’s what I’m thinking: normally the same driver handles the same districts on all weekdays. If he could find it the first day…
  9. Rob gets hold of the driver who is now far north, in Bäckefors, from where Rob lives. The best he can do is place the package on a truck that will take it to another central about 10-15 kilometers from Rob, from where he lives… oh, and they close at four.
  10. Rob will now have to quit work early, drive like a maniac from Alingsås to Uddevalla (an hour without traffic) then from Uddevalla to Göteborg (another hour without traffic) where he will deliver the package to me.

If we get these review copies out by Monday it will be a miracle. We should the be given the nobel prize in revies copy out sending.
