Done and moving on.

September 28, 2008

The philosophy of politics and Mr. John Rawls has now, for the moment being, been put on the shelf. Yes, that’s right folks, I’m done. I sent my exam in just now. In a couple of weeks we’ll see how it went. I feel good about it.

So, out with the old and in with the new. The history of practical philosophy is the next course, the next thing for me to dive into. Aristotle and Immanuel Kant will be my passengers, or perhaps drivers, for the weeks ahead. Starting tomorrow; Aristotle Nicomachean Ethics book 1 chapter 1-7 + commentary.

Bouncing back…

September 28, 2008

I feel a bit better today. In more ways than one. First off though I must apologise to the fans of Hull City. I was a bit harsh yesterday. I’m sorry. It’s not you nor your team that I am infuriated with. I actually kind of like Hull, especially your shirts, and hope you cling on to the Premier League. What I am infuriated with is my ow team, The Arsenal, and foremost Captain William Gallas. It was his poor defending that let you go in front then after that he ran around the field, after the ball, in every position to correct his mistake… sad.

The other way in which I am feeling better is my armpit. It’s all right now. Sure, It’s a gaping wound but it’s healing nicely and the antibiotics hasn’t fucked my stomach up to bad. Five days to go there though.

Today is my last day writing my exam in the philosophy of politics and today I’m focusing on John Rawls ideas of the general- vs. the special conception of justice.

I’m sitting here in my Arsenal replica shirt from last seas son and studying and supporting and suffering and hoping… Porto on Tuesday night in the UEFA Champions League. Let’s bounce back the way we did from the Fulham defeat!
