Back in school…

I was supposed to take a picture but somehow I forgot my camera.
I was a bit nervous but it’s good to have gotten that first lecture under my belt. Now it all feels a little less intimidating and a lot less hard.

First course: Political Philosophy with direction towards contemporary contractarianism. In particular John Rawls and his book A Theory of Justice. It’s really interesting stuff but then again most, if not all, of what we read is because you can be both sceptical or agree, it’s not always, almost never, a case of right and wrong… and how refreshing that is!

Picture tomorrow.

I’ve created a category for this subject, studies, since I believe that I will discuss my studies frequently and at some length here on this blog. So there!

Hej då!

- 4.3 kg…

Ok. So I did it anyway. I hauled my fat ass up on the scales. I know I said I wouldn’t but I had an inner argument and then I did. I knew I had lost some weight. I really don’t know how. I don’t think it shows but maybe I felt it a little bit or mostly it was because if I hadn’t lost weight, with all my efforts in August, I would have gone bananas.

So I started at 121.7 kg and now weigh in at a mere 117.4 kg. That’s down 4,3 kg and seeing as how I’ve only been at this for 4 weeks and three days I’d say I’m pretty much on track. A kilogram a week of weight loss might seem a bit on the much side but I think that when you have as much surplus as I do it’s ok. Maybe it’s much more manageable if we talk about in in percent. If we do then I’ve lost approximately 3.5 % of my initial body weight but if we are to count in percent then I’m now, at 117.4 kg, back on zero trying to keep my weight loss at – 3.5 % a month.

Yeah let’s do that. Let’s become math geniuses and just move around numbers. No! Progress people. Progress! The only thing that counts.

Soon I’m of to the first day of school…
