I used to play in a band called Punk of Country.
We released one album called Leaving the trees behind on a small record label called Gain.
We had a fun couple of years.
We were on our way up but didn’t really have enough energy to reach the top.
While we were recording our second album we decided to call it quits.
All good things must come to an end.
The fun part about endings is that you can start right back up.
Tomorrow we will have the first Punk of Country Reu(o)nion!
No we won’t play or anything like that. We will watch football, have a few beers and talk. It’s going to be really fun!
I leave you with a picture from the totally catastrophic photo session we had before our album release. Too much make up, and a A&R who didn’t share our aesthetic vision…
If you want to know why there is an O inside a parenthesis it’s because of our drummer, we called him the onion or Löken in Swedish. If you want to know why we did that you have to hang around this blog, I might share it one day.
