New York day 1 – It never ended

Just a quick recap from yesterday. We started our journey in Göteborg at 0700h on the 4:th of June. We arrived around 2000h (Swedish time) on the 6:th of June in New York.
This is how it went down. Göteborg-Örebro-Högfors-Stockholm-Munchen-New York. Naturally we took a yellow cab from JFK airport to the New York Helmsley (where we are staying).
So tired as hell (right now we all feel as were in a boat; the ground swaying back and forth) we haven’t had any time to do much. Still we’ve had he time to eat pizza at Sbarros and have coffee at Starbucks (not mentioning buying a Butterfinger bar or two at CVS).
I hope i will be able to keep giving you updates. The power cord converter that we brought with us does not work. So when the computer dies so do my posting.

New York day 0 – What!?

So we started our journey to New York today. Instead of flying from Göteborg we had to de-tour, by car. Tomorrow morning we’re going to fly from Stockholm. Right now we’re in Högfors. The reason for this is that Mr. Bo has to have a dogsitter; Camillas mother. So why New York day 0? Well just to get the vacation started we had to seek out a bit of American culture. We found it, as depicted below, in the town of Örebro.

Until tomorrow, maybe from Germany!

The final push to the sum.

Well today school ended, for this semester at least. I handed in my last exam just seconds ago, an exam in the subject of aesthetics. Suitable. So what happens now? Lazy ass all summer doing nothing? No. Tomorrow I’m of to New York with Camilla and Tullan. We’re taking a bit of a de-tour but I won’t spoil the fun; more on de-touring tomorrow. I also hope that this will be the summer when I finish the ten songs (of which I’m not supposed to talk… so I won’t). I will be doing some working at my old job; this summer I’ll be guarding expensive boats and stuff. Not very aesthetic I know but what is one to do? I have to live. Offer me a 1980s style recording contract or fuck the shut up! (did not mean to be a foul mouth there, It’s more of a fun statement.) And last but not least, more primarily, I’ll be writing songs and other stuff. A lot of writing.

(I’m going to try this tag-thingy with this post.)

Ok! Packing starts…
NOW!

The hardassness of raven football!

Every Monday evening some guys from my old job and I get together and play football. It’s called raven football and it sounds a lot harder than it is (no it does not, it’s kick ass hard). In English it sounds like it’s right out mean (and it is). Our team is called the B-team with no reference to Mr. T’s A-team other than that we also pity the fools or perhaps are the pitied fools. Yesterday the temperature was C 28 and the pitch was sandy gravel. It hasn’t rained for a month here in Göteborg so it was like running on a beach (and we are not the fit kind). Pretty hard. With no substitutes and one of the guys being sent of (for a hard tackle hopefully resulting in a bleed and a scar) there was not a lot we could do. We lost 6-1 which is also hard.
Raven football, gravel pitch, big loss… stone hard men, chasing, kicking and screaming.
Depicted above is team leader Mats. Cross him and he’ll lock you away. Not that he’s a policeman or anything he just knows all there is to know about keys and locks.

Unity and New Silence.

I got another song from Rob O today. What I have to say on the matter is unity (and no, not in a screaming Rick James sort of way punching Charlie Murphy in the forehead). When you listen, or rather when I listen, to the songs I’ve received so far, totaling three, I feel unity, not within me but amongst the songs. It sounds grate.

Why am I telling you all this? Am I going to write a post every time I get a new song and then not share it with you? No (but don’t get your hopes up). I aim to commence with the, for you, lesser attractive options that my conclusion leads to; I am not going to write about these ten songs until all is done, whatever done means. I am going to write about them when I have the possibility of sharing them, the songs, with you. Which in itself brings up another interesting subject on the need to show what one has created; if there is such a need, or more, if I have that need. I have stated, as late as today, that I don’t have that need. This blog might suggest otherwise. This is a topic I’m sure I’ll return to.
